Corey Hughes is an associate attorney at the Thumbs Up Guys where he handles personal injury cases, including automobile accidents, premises liability, and general tort claims.
Prior to joining the firm, Corey worked as a criminal defense attorney at the Public Defender’s office for the 9th Circuit. There, he represented hundreds of clients helping them navigate their cases through the South Carolina Judicial system. Corey has extensive court experience and has been lead counsel on arraignments, preliminary hearings, and trials during his time as a criminal defense attorney.
Corey is originally from Augusta, Georgia. He attended college at the University of Georgia obtaining a degree in political science. After college, Corey moved to Charleston where he attended and graduated from the Charleston School of Law.
When Corey is not practicing law, he enjoys spending time with friends and family and getting out on the golf course every chance he gets.
