At The Thumbs Up Guys, giving back to the community we love isn’t just something we do, it’s who we are. That’s why we are thrilled to announce our newest campaign: Get Groceries on the Guys.
This May, we’re showing up for our neighbors in a big way, and we want you to be a part of it.
What Is “Get Groceries on the Guys”?
As summer approaches and school winds down, we know that families across our community are gearing up for a season full of change, excitement, and a whole lot of hungry kids at home. To give local families a head start on their summer grocery shopping, we’re giving away 100 free bags of groceries and five $100 grocery gift cards, completely free, no strings attached.

Location: 3300 W Montague Ave

Free Grocery Bag Giveaway
The first 100 cars to arrive will each receive a free bag of groceries, it’s that simple. This is a completely first come, first served event with no registration, no forms, and no catch whatsoever. Just show up.
A few things to keep in mind:
- One grocery bag per car, please, so we can serve as many families as possible.
- Our team, along with North Charleston Police Department officers and clearly marked traffic signs, will be outside to guide you in and direct traffic so everything runs smoothly and safely.
- We will start passing bags out at 9:00 a.m. sharp
- Vehicle line-up before 8:30 a.m. is not permitted
$100 Grocery Gift Card Giveaway
In addition to the grocery bags, we’re giving away five $100 grocery gift cards! These will be awarded to five lucky winners selected at random on May 22nd.

Why We’re Doing This
Summer is one of our favorite seasons, but we also know it comes with a shift for many families. With school out, routines change, schedules get busier, and the kitchen sees a lot more action. We want to make that transition a little lighter for the families right here in our backyard.
Our community has always been at the heart of everything we do. Campaigns like Get Groceries on the Guys are our opportunity to go beyond business and show up as neighbors, because that’s exactly what we are.
We are so grateful to live and work in a community that has supported us, and this is just one small way we get to say thank you.
How to Participate
For the free grocery bag: Arrive at 3300 W Montague at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 22nd. Line up in your vehicle and follow the guidance of our staff and NCPD officers. First 100 cars receive one free bag of groceries.
For the $100 Grocery gift card: Submit your entry using this giveaway link before May 22nd. Five winners will be selected at random and contacted via email.
