Blakely M. Bellamy graduated from the University of North Carolina with a degree in Biology and went on to law school at the University of South Carolina. After graduating with a Juris Doctorate, Blakely began her legal career working at a well-known personal injury firm. In 2011, she went to work with an insurance defense firm.
Blakely spent over a decade representing employers and insurance companies in workers’ compensation claims throughout the state of South Carolina. Over the course of her many years handling claims from the defense perspective, Blakely has witnessed the unbalanced treatment of injured workers through the workers’ compensation system. After defending workers’ compensation claims for years, Blakely has the privilege to now represent injured workers and is committed to helping them navigate the system with their interests being paramount. Blakely is an experienced litigator and a zealous advocate for her clients. She is compassionate and patient, with a vast understanding of the financial and emotional issues impacting injured workers.
Blakely lives on Johns Island with her husband and daughter. When she is not in the office, she enjoys practicing yoga and spending time with her family and friends.
