A native of Oregon, Janek earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science, with a minor in Economics, from the University of Oregon. Following graduation, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Marine Corps, where he served with distinction and deployed multiple times in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. His military service instilled in him a strong sense of discipline, leadership, and dedication—qualities he brings to his legal practice every day.

After completing his military service, Janek attended the University of South Carolina School of Law. He has since developed broad legal experience, having tried both civil and criminal cases across numerous counties.

Outside the office, Janek enjoys spending time with his family and taking advantage of the outdoors. He is an avid hunter and fisherman and appreciates exploring the natural landscapes of South Carolina
