Vance Griggs was born and raised in South Carolina. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Coastal Carolina University in 2014, graduating Cum Laude. He competed in Track and Field at CCU with a full athletic scholarship. He then earned a Master of Arts degree and graduate certificate in Business Administration from East Tennessee State University in 2016 and 2018, respectively. He competed in Weightlifting at ETSU with a full athletic/academic scholarship. Finally, he attended Charleston School of Law between January 2019 and December 2020, graduating in two years. He was admitted to practice law in South Carolina in May 2021.
After practicing family law and probate law at a small firm in rural South Carolina, he joined a mid-size insurance defense firm in Charleston, SC, in 2022. He gained valuable insights during his time as an insurance defense attorney. Importantly, he learned how insurance companies evaluate, handle, and defend claims. That experience enables Vance to navigate the intricacies of an insurance claim and strongly advocate for his clients.
When Vance is not in the office, he enjoys traveling, oil painting, and exploring new restaurants.
