Current and incoming college/university and graduate school students can apply for the Thumbs Up Guys Scholarship. Applicants should read the eligibility criteria and entry requirements listed on the main scholarship page.
Applications must be submitted by the April 30, 2023 deadline. Any application submitted late, via means other than the official application form on the scholarship page, or which do not meet eligibility criteria will be discarded from consideration.
Scholarship Selection Committee
Following the deadline on April 30, 2023, Miller, Dawson, Sigal, & Ward will form a scholarship selection committee for the sole purpose of evaluating applications and selecting two winners. Decisions made and announced by the scholarship selection committee are final unless issues arise regarding plagiarism or factual inaccuracies in winners’ applications.
Policy Against Discrimination
No applicant will be judged or discriminated against on the basis of membership in any protected class. This includes sex, race, gender identity, sexuality, veteran status, and disability. Winners are selected solely on the basis of the merits of their applications.
Notification of Winners
Miller, Dawson, Sigal, & Ward will select winners and inform those two winners via email by June 11, 2023. Winners agree to have their essays and information about their scholarship published in press releases, blog posts, and other forms of media at the discretion of Miller, Dawson, Sigal, & Ward.
The law firm is not required to contact all applicants. Instead, the announcement of the two winners will serve as notice to all other applicants.
